Granola & Spice

A few years ago my friend Kurtis and I were stuck in an airport for hours and hours on our way home from a business trip. We had plenty of time to chat and somewhere late into the night we discovered we shared a love of cereal.IMG_4706

Being creative spirits, Kurtis and I mapped out our plans to design a cereal store where we could eat and sell nothing but custom-blended cereal all day long. I’m pretty sure we had a name and location for our first store and franchise plans as well. I think my favorite part of our cereal concept was that we could wear pajamas to work.

Since Kurtis and I haven’t opened up our cereal store yet, I found the next best thing, an online cereal store called Mix My Granola. Mix My Granola lets you create your own granola mix in 3 easy steps.

They have a number of granola bases to start from and a great variety of items to mix in so you can create your personalized blend. Most of their ingredients are organic, and all their granolas, nuts and seeds are preservative-free and all-natural products.

The slender little container doesn’t take up much room in the cupboard and comes labeled with thIMG_4718e name you selected, the nutritional content, and the ingredients list—something you don’t get when mixing your own granola from a supermarket bin.

Once you are finished with your granola you can store your tennis balls inside the cylinder container or just take it to the recycle bin as it is 100% recyclable.

I love the quality, the taste, and the creative process so much I decided to become an affiliate, which means they’ll share a spoonful of each sale and give me the inside scoop on promotions and new items they add to their line.IMG_4759

If you’d like to give Mix My Granola a try, please use this link to Mix My Granola that way they’ll know I sent you.

You know the thing I like most about Mix My Granola? You can create, order, and eat your favorite mix in the comfort of your favorite pajamas.

How many ounces are there in one serving? This looks delish. I’m a huge cereal fan as well.

With all of that greek yogurt you eat, you should give this custom granola stuff a try. Just toss it in your briefcase and take it to work or all of your greedy kids will eat it, Josie! ; -)

Diane, There are 16 oz in the container. The nutritional content depends on the mix you create (how’s that for stating the obvious? :-)) When you design your own mix online, you can automatically see a nutritional calculator so you know exactly where you stand as far as calories and macronutrients go. So you can make adjustments according to your dietary needs (if you’re into tracking that sort of thing like I am).

Oh, and to answer your question, my granola mix label says there’s 31 grams per serving.
