Sunday School

IMG_4798Ready. Fire. Aim.

That’s the order I’ve been going about a lot of things lately. Sometimes I get lucky and being spontaneous works in my favor and sometimes it backfires.

Last week I had some plans that did not go as expected. I’m not going to sugar coat it, I had a horrible week. In fact, I was telling Mack that one day I stayed in my pink Super Girl pajamas all day long and had a melt down.

So this week, it’s time to regroup. I’m going to roll up my sleeves and invest some time in me.  I will be mapping out some goals for my career, fitness, and nutrition and will FIRE them into action. And maybe, just maybe, by the time our next Sunday School lesson rolls around I’ll be thanking God for some unanswered prayers.

Now, I’m off to cover the battle damage with some band aids, pack up my Wonder Woman lunch box with some good food, and then hit Happy Hour. Just as soon as I get out of my pajamas.

READY. AIM. FIRE!

Joanne,
This too shall pass…
That’s what I try to tell myself when I have those moments when things don’t always go as planned. Not that it necessarily makes those moments any easier, except maybe that I can look back and see that I’ve weathered storms before too – and oftentimes, even come out the other side better than how it started.

I love your attitude toward regrouping and moving forward! We can choose to wallow in these moments that we all have, or we can choose to do something about it. You are doing well, Joanne, in choosing to roll up your sleeves and really tackle this. Awesome!

Thanks, Lance!
Someone just told me sometimes life is like having a baby, the worst part is just before the best part. I like the sound of that!

Joanna,
You’re right about that baby/life thing. I’m an expert baby maker, and I’m also a “my-life-is-crappy-but-now-its-great” expert. It’s gets good ‘n better if ya keep on pushing.

Speaking of babies and pushing, Josie…I think you should have one more. :-)

I totally understand those times. Some days its ok to just stay in your PJ’s and think. But remember not to stay there forever :) You’re strong, confident, you can get through anything! :)
