I have three new reasons to love lucy.
FIRST:
lucy activewear is donating 10% of their sales from their fabulous new Freesia lucy Flip Straw Water Bottle to the Young Survival Coalition.
Young Survival Coalition was founded in 1998 by three breast cancer survivors under the age of 35 who were discouraged by the lack of information and resources available to young women. They are now an international organization dedicated to the critical issues unique to young women and breast cancer.
SECOND:
They have a really cute Pink Collection. Which will make creating my Christmas wish list a breeze!
THIRD:
They are giving one lucky Fitness & Spice reader this amazing new lucy Breakaway Jacket in…wait for it…PINK!
To enter the drawing I’m going to ask you to do 3 things:
- Tell at least one person about how they can support the Young Survival Coalition
- Commit to giving 110% during your workouts this week
- Tell us in the comments section below WHAT TICKLES YOU PINK!
Enter the drawing by the stroke of midnight Tuesday, October 20th and check back in on Wednesday, October 21st to see if you will be pretty in pink!

October 19th 2009What tickles me pink? My students. I am an art teacher and I am always amazed at the things my kids come up with. Some of them are so creative and their minds are always working on one thing or another. Now that I am at the high school level, they are WAYYYYY more complex and complicated than the junior high schoolers were, but wow!!!

What tickles me pink are my doggies. My two labs are the highlights of my morning and my running partners… although I can go longer than they can! Their antics can always bring a smile to my face, no matter how dark the cloud is over my head!

I will for sure dedicate 110% to my workouts this week, I am 2 weeks away from my first Half marathon and am tackling a long run today by splitting it in two instead of doing less or skipping. It is easier for me to handle that thought today!! Great giveaway!

October 20th 2009Yeah, I’m one of THOSE PEOPLE that happened upon this giveaway because the word’s Lucy and Free sucked me in … but Lucy themselves posted it on Twitter this morning, so I digress.
What tickles me pink? The size 8 jeans I can now fit into after only 3 months of running. I started out a gasping, horridly out-of-shape flab-o-licious mess that couldn’t run more then 30 seconds at a time, to the fine piece of arse that sits before my mighty laptop today! You’d better believe I’m going to work my butt off this week, now that I finally have day off work …
I’m going to Twitter about the Young Survival Coalition in 5 seconds … you can check here: http://www.twitter.com/rachael_taylor if you don’t believe me … haha! Oh and I also just added you to my reader ….

October 20th 2009What tickles me pink?? When someone I am training in person or counseling on-line tells me the difference that my guidance has made in their life. They feel better about themselves on the inside, and they then look better to themselves on the outside. Their success and their newly-found happiness tickle me pink…there is nothing like it!
Jo–you have started such a great thing on here–and come so far yourself in so short a time–you rock girl!

Watching my fifteen year old sister grow up, face the challenges of high school, excel in sports such as volleyball and soccer, and tell me that she respects herself too much to follow in the footsteps of a friend who is less than modest tickles me pink :]
Sarah says:
October 23rd 2009What tickles me pink is the sense of community in group exercise. Whether it’s a yoga, spinning or Zumba class, I love chatting with others after a good workout when we all have the post-workout endorphin rush, are still sweaty and rosy cheeked. The good vibes and universal connectidness flows during these moments and that tickles me pink
