Sunday School

Alyson competed in her first figure competition this weekend. It was fun to watch her journey to the stage. Congratulations, Alyson! Last week Alyson tagged me for the Honest Scrap Award which asks me to divulge 10 Truths about myself, so here it goes…IMG_6255

  1. The reason for the pumpkin shortage is because I am hoarding it.  However, I am not responsible for the Eggo shortage.
  2. I count grams of protein not number of calories.
  3. I wear Old Navy Halloween pajama bottoms to bed 12 months out of the year.
  4. When I grow up I want a career where I can wear gym clothes or Old Navy Halloween pajamas to work. If I cannot find a job where I can wear gym clothes or pj’s to work I want to be a spa critic where I can wear a warm, thick, bath robe and fluffy slippers.
  5. If I ever get a tattoo it will be of The Grinch. Not the grouchy Grinch, the recovered Grinch.
  6. I can not be trusted with a jar of peanut butter.
  7. I think Starbucks is the happiest place on Earth.
  8. I had braces twice as a kid and once as an adult.
  9. I own more sandals, candles, pink sweatshirts, and tubes of lip gloss than necessary.
  10. I wear makeup to the gym. Don’t judge.

Now that you’ve learned a few new things about me, I’d like to hear something I don’t know about you, to tell you the truth!

Hey Joanna!
What a fun list to read!! Woohoo!!

And you know what – we are way similar on one of these (no…it’s not the makeup in the gym!!). Peanut butter…the stuff is like candy for me! Oh, and Starbucks has a certain pull too…

Let’s see – something else: I have a fear of heights (so, the time I went skydiving was one of my greatest challenges ever). And I don’t like raisins… (even if they were mixed in the PB…)

Great list! Hmm… I strongly dislike cucumbers or anything mayonnaise based.

I’m with ya on the Starbucks! And the peanut butter. Almond butter works, too ;P

I wear makeup to the gym too! Don’t worry, I don’t think we are the only ones.
I like to hoard pumpkin too, but yesterday when I went to get more they were all out, THANKS!
I DO have a job where I can wear comfy clothes and pjs (I work at home!)
I didn’t wash my face last night before bed :) MUAHAHA!
I can be trusted with a jar of peanut butter, but give me Barney Butter and WATCH OUT! Oh, and White Chocolate Wonderful, yikes.

Great list! Thanks for sharing. You wear make up to the gym? I just wear chapstick but I literally roll out if bed and hit the gym.

I also love starbucks and if I can ever figure out a way for them to add a scoop of my protein powder to their latte, it could be my favorite place! Also, I look very forward to your blog every morning! I count calories and protein. How many grams do you have as a goal daily? I try to talk my kids into peanut butter sandwiches so I can have the spoon at the end!! Ha!

Joanna Sutter says:

Tiffany, THANK YOU! Have you seen my recipe for protein lattes? 1 scoop protein powder + Starbucks VIA + water. Blend. Pop in microwave for about 45 seconds! HEAVEN! Oh, and I aim for 20-30 grams of protein per meal and I typically eat 6 meals a day.

Candid, Hire me?! ;-)

Evan Thomas says:

Those are some fun facts! How many grams of protein do you aim for a day?
Right now, my fact would be that I loooove vegitarian meats, so long as they’re naturally flavored. Fake bacon, breakfast sausages, sausage links, it’s all good

I also count grams of macros, not calories!

I think Old Navy is heaven in a store. Once you get a job where you can wear sweatpants or PJs all day you can’t go back. Good luck it your quest. It’s amazing!!!
Let’s say any nut… cuz jackass behavior. So.. I just don’t’ buy it.

Makeup to the gym..HMMM won’t have gone there with you.

I have a girl crush on The Barefoot Contessa and Tina Fey. And I like to hide in the pantry and eat candy when my toddler is snacking on fruit. Wow, that was kind of cathartic.

Starbucks IS the happiest place on earth. *BIG HUGS* for that ;)

Great list! :) I share your addiction to lip glosses. Here’s a few about me.
1- I always shave my left leg first. I have no idea why.
2- I have lived in 3 different countries: Colombia, Canada and Japan. Countless other countries traveled to.
3- I have a birthmark on my right shin that looks like Vancouver Island.
Great blog BTW :)

I like your list of things a lot Joanna!!

Here’s one about me you may not know. I was adopted and later found by my birthmother!

Pumpkin, Protein, PJs, Starbucks, Peanut Butter = my truths too! :)

You sound like a very well-adjusted person. One question — did you “fail braces??”"

FatFighterTV says:

I am totally cracking up, especially about the PJs! I LOVE my PJ bottoms, and sometimes wear them when I run errands because they are so cute and look like lounge pants so nobody knows any different. One other thing you should know – I have a thing for imported chocolates. :)
