I Could Use A Tune Up

If you’ve ever slept funny, had a desk job, had a rough workout, shoveled too much snow, played too much golf, hadIMG_7442 a stressful day, or spent too much time in front of the computer, then read on.

A few weeks ago, the beautiful people at Yoga Tune Up® told me about their self massage therapy ball program. When they sent me a sample of this program, I popped in the CD and followed right along. I wasn’t expecting to receive a deep tissue massage in this kit, but that’s exactly what I got!

Yoga Tune Up therapy balls are high grip rubber balls that unlock the knots and the stress in places like your neck, shoulders, back…you name it! Just by using your own body weight against the therapy balls, these little miracle workers are able to reach your neck and shoulders where a foam roller just can’t.

Yes, I’ve tried rolling around on tennis balls trying to massage a sore shoulder on more than one occasion, but there’s something different about the size and structure of these tools that really help loosen up tight muscles. Plus, the founder, Jill Miller, walks you through an audio program to help you connect with just the right trigger points.

I just did the program targeted for the upper back and neck, but they offer other programs to reach other parts of the body, too. I liked it so much that I might go back for the mini-series.

Want to WIN a set of Fitness & Spice Approved therapy balls from Yoga Tune Up? Then just tell us what part of your body could use a Tune Up! Enter the drawing by Friday, January 29th at 11:59 P.M. EST and the winner will be announced on Sunday.

Now I really must go give my back a quick Tune Up so I can have a namaste.

Joanna you keep finding these little gems and leaving a pretty trail everywhere you go! And I am just going to keep following you and scoop them up an put them in my pocket! Yes of course I desperately need a good massage! I am going to Physical Therapy and exercising my back 3 days a week to help correct my posture from 10 years of carrying too much weight, most of it up front so my muscle memory has curved my spine forward. I have lost 50 pounds in 2009 and am working hard to continue the trend and work on correcting my posture. This sounds like the perfect remedy for a poor aching back!

This seriously looks amazing! This isn’t a joke in any form or fashion I need help with my plantar fascia, IT band, gastroc, and soleus. If I HAVE to pick one of those 4 I guess I’d go with my gastroc. Great giveaway!

I could really use this because I am too cheap to buy myself a massage from anyone. My hubby when he is here does an “okay” job

Nashli says:

My neck and shoulders stay tight and stressed…creating migraine headaches. I would love to have these!

Donna Bush says:

Oooooh, my neck/shoulders! I sit at my laptop most of the day and it’s awful, especially because the hinge is broken and I have to prop it up, and can’t afford to get it fixed right now. I’m also a terrible sleeper and need a new pillow. Would LOVE these because like someone else up there said, the husband doesn’t do a great job. (Oh, he tries, but it’s not stellar.) Thanks for the opportunity.

Oh how neat!! Let’s see, I don’t get sore very often, or really feel any tension anywhere (I guess I’m lucky? I don’t know, because my mom is always sore…), but Nick could use these FOR SURE! He complains about his neck, his feet, his legs, all the time! I try to rub it out, but he always insists on more more more. haha. It never helps, He would LOVE these!

Tracey @ I'm Not Superhuman says:

You’re a wealth of knowledge when it comes to super cool products.

I’ve been hunched over this computer all day long, so my shoulders would very much like a massage. Like, right now. :)

Laura says:

This contest couldn’t be better suited for me. After 13 years of athletic training and being active with my patients all day, I moved to a sales rep job and spend alot of time in front of a computer. Within the past month, I’ve developed back and neck pain, and now hand numbness. So I could REALLY use a tune up! I would use those Yoga balls throughout my neck, shoulders, and back….I’m smiling just thinking about it!

My body is not enjoying all this sitting, and certainly not in the positions that I sit in. Thanks so much for this great product info!

Amanda Thebe says:

Wynn says:

Just like Laura, I love the idea of these tune up/massage balls. I work at a computer most days,so it’s the upper back, neck and shoulders that carry all the stress. I would love to win.

Carol says:

This could be what I need to help me to be able to move easier each day. I have arthritis in my spine and so far I have not been able to find a back massager that can give me some relief. I can not afford to go get a massage everyday.

Howard Burns says:

January 29th 2010

I’ve lost 136.5 lbs. To achieve my goal, I run 3.2 miles per day. This is very hard on my legs. The part of my body I’d use the Yoga Balls on is my legs. My legs are very sore after my daily run. I could REALLY use these. Thanks. Howard

BK says:

January 29th 2010

The part of my body that needs the Tune-Up is my upper back & shoulders. I am constantly doing yoga & other forms of stretching to work this area, and it does help, but it just tightens up again. Having to spend 1 1/2 hours in the car every day doesn’t help! :o

Steve (mr yoga DVD) says:
