Fatty McFatterson

Have you ever had a fat day? Those kind of days are far worse than a bad hair day…you can fix a bad hair day.

I had a fat week last week.

I went all out and called myself Fatty McFatterson when I was checking myself out in the mirror during workouts (at least) two days last week. Did name calling motivate me to work harder? Nope. It just made me really, really cranky.

So this week I’m going to toss out the negative self talk and replace it with some good old fashioned tough love! What are you going to replace this week?

Now I really must stop talking and get Leana McLeanerson to the gym!

I admit, I am an offender when it comes to negative self talk so I will work on that this week!

As for fat weeks.. well, at this stage in my life with hormones, hard to not have one! :-)

Ahhhhh sorry to hear that friend. There is nothing worse than having a fatso day. BUT turn it around and think to yourself, ok this is where it stops today. Eat crappy food for a meal if it helps (lol) and then go out and buy some new workout gear, or a new shampoo or a healthy lunch. Sometimes we need to feel flat to get back up again, don’t you think?

It’s such a relief to hear that other people experience the same mental stumbling blocks that I do. It’s those blocks that would make me give up before because I felt pathetic or unsuccessful with diets. It’s NOT an excuse to give up anymore…it’s all the more reason to keep pushing along and just feeling better because I’m consistently trying to be healthy.

Boo for a fat week! We all have them. I seem to be more prone to them just before spring.

We all have days/weeks like that. And you’re so right… negative talk doesn’t help the situation at all.

Glad to hear you’re on your way to a better week :)

Yes! It’s never good to bash ourselves, even though it’s sometimes inevitable during a Fat Week. Not fun! I always use a cute dress or jeans as inspiration to get fit. Love the blog girl, I can’t wait to read more!

oh my gosh. I felt soooo fat and ugly-bloated today. For real. I’m not even kidding. But 2 prunes and 20 ounces of water later, I was suddenly skinny again. ha!

Oh, I hate that feeling. But my dear, you are right – no negative self talk, okay? I am giving up sugar this week. Should be very interesting…
