Two Scoops

Question: What is better than dessert? Answer: Two desserts!

I couldn’t decide which dessert to bring to the the POM Summer Menu Series this week: Pomegranate Sorbet or Pomegranate Protein Ice Cream. They were both easy to make and so refreshing, so I brought both.

Here’s the scoop…

IMG_8430POM Sorbet

  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup POM Wonderful pomegranate juice

Stir together all ingredients and pour into an ice cream maker following your machine’s instructions for freezing.

POM Protein Ice Cream

  • 2 cups PIMG_8444OM Wonderful pomegranate juice
  • 1 cup vanilla protein powder

Blend ingredients together and pour into ice cream maker following your machine’s instructions for freezing.

Enjoy!

Now I really must go…I had so much fun making this ice cream, I’m going to enroll in sundae school!

So refreshing!! What a fascinating idea, to use protein powder for the ice cream! I’ve got some here at home, but have never thought to use it in that way – wow! Great idea :)
