10 Gifts We Can Give For Free

I’ve been feeling rather spicy lately, and not in a good way.

I think it’s the time of year. It is beyond cold, the traffic has picked up, the gym is crowded, my skin is dry, the lines in the stores are long, and all of the good parking spots wherever I go are taken.

Oh, and I haven’t purchased a single Christmas gift yet.

So over the weekend I got to thinking that it’s going to be a long month if I don’t sweeten up my fiery frame of mind, so I’m going to slow down, stop complaining (so much), and focus on the people around me.

So, if you’re feeling a little spicy like me, consider joining me on a free giving spree as you go about your holiday prepping spree. I think there are plenty of gifts we can give other people that can change our tune and be absolutely priceless, if given genuinely, to the right person, at just the right time.

Here are 10 Free Gift Ideas

For a child, praise.

For a stressed out friend or colleague, an ear.

For a hard-working employee, a few hours off.

For the couple that really needs a night out, a babysitter.

For the idiot person that cut you off in traffic, forgiveness.

For someone that’s looking for a job, vodka an introduction.

For a mom at the grocery store with a screaming child, a smile.

For your friend who’s been trying to get into better shape, a compliment.

For the guy behind you at the coffee shop that’s clearly late for work, a cut in line.

For the new members at your gym that are hogging your favorite equipment, patience.

Giving away a few of these gifts just might sweeten you, me, and each recipient right up without costing anyone a dime.

Now I really must go warm up a cup of coffee, hit the gym,  and get a price check on number 10!

Great attitude!  You’re right, there are so many things we can do for free for other people even when we’re cranky and stressed.
