Sunday School

IMG_7150Patience is not one of my virtues and neither is knitting. My grandmother, and now my mother, have patiently taught me the art of knitting. I am still a bit knitting-challenged despite their best efforts.

I can now knit a mean scarf and a mean dish cloth. And by “mean” I mean I cannot knit a perfect square or rectangle, in fact, I don’t think there are words in a geometry textbook to describe the shapes of most of my creations.

Like my knitting, I am learning to be patient with my body transformation goals. Losing body fat, gaining strength, or increasing speed takes consistency, hard work, and patience. The goals I set on January 1st are not going to be accomplished by next week or even next month (and at this rate, neither will my scarf). But, I know the time and the energy I put into to it will be worth the effort.

Now I really must go get back to work on my blob, I mean, scarf because I am not a knitter quitter!
